Disclaimer: OK I don't own any of the characters (really not even you) only the story line for this fanfiction... And really? If I owed Rise of the Guardians Jack would have been shirtless
You didn't have time to ask what the little girl meant. When you were about to, the water filled your mouth. You expected the water to freeze you but instead it burned you. It's was pain you couldn't describe; it was pain you couldn't control.
It wasn't that you didn't know how to swim, the problem was the moment you tried to go up, something pulled you down. It was almost as if the darkness below was trying to swallow you.
You remember your family. How you were supposed to go with your mom to do some Christmas shopping. Your (brother/sister) telling you to get out of (his/her) room. You remember your dad's last words to you...
"Don't let Jack Frost nip your nose."
'Well, he is doing more than that, actually,' you thought, slightly smiling.
When you were almost out of oxygen you heard a voice calling your name. It was a deep, soft voice that kept demanding you to stay awake.
You wanted to stay awake, but you were too tired. You slowly started to give up...
A flash of icy blue light was the last thing you saw before you fell asleep.
"Is she dead?"
"She is not dead, Sophie!"
"She looks pretty dead to me..."
A heavy sigh. "She is not dead."
"Her friend is still crying...Should I take (him/her) back to town?"
"Without me guiding you? I don't think so..."
"Well then, you take the twins and (bf/n) and I will keep an eye on her."
"Okay. And I will bring some clothes for her, before she really dies."
You stopped hearing and welcomed darkness again.
Before you even moved, you realized you were no longer cold. Your clothes were warmer, the air was not so crisp, you swore there was a fire crackling...you were definitely not outside.
You stood up from the bed you were laying on, only to fall back again.
"My head..." you mumbled. You touched your head and felt that your hair was still a little bit damped.
"Would you like hot cocoa?"
You gasped and this time you got up without falling. You saw the little blonde girl next to you holding two mugs filled with hot cocoa.
You looked around and realized you were inside the Frozen Shack. Inside a room in the Frozen Shack.
Still in shock, you didn't notice that the blonde girl sat next to you. "Jack said you should drink it..." She handled you the mug and you took it with trembling hands.
"Jack?" you asked after you took a sip of the hot beverage.
Suddenly the little girl became nervous. She looked away and didn't reply.
"Your name is Sophie, right?" You moved closer to the small girl.
"Thank you, Sophie," you whispered, truthfully thankful.
She looked up at you. Confusion spread all over her half-covered face. "Why?"
Closing your eyes, you said, "I don't remember much but you kept an eye on me while this Jack was away..."
Sophie almost choked on her drink. "Y-you heard that?"
You suppressed a laugh. "Why is it such a surprise?"
"Because you are not supposed to see me..."
You stopped breathing. That voice...
Shaking a little bit, you directed your eyes to the door.
A young man was casually lining against the door frame. He wasn't like anybody you had ever met in your life. His skin was paper-white but he had dark rings under his icy-blue eyes. He was only wearing a blue hoodie with some torn brown pants...and was he bare foot?! Next to him was a long wooded stick with a hook form at the end. And even though that was all odd to you, nothing was more bizarre than his snow-white spiky hair.
"Or hear me, as a matter of fact..." he continued.
Sophie jumped and went to the strange man's side and slide behind him. He looked back at her and smile softly. Under different circumstances you might have think this dude was good looking and that his smile was the sweetest thing you could ever taste...
'Focus, dammit,' you thought.
"W-who are you?" you asked, your voice smaller than you wanted.
He glared at you. Wait. He didn't glare at you - he stared at you in a way that made you want to crawl under a rock and never see the sun again.
"I am Jack. And you are in big trouble, miss..."
And just like that you weren't afraid any longer. "Excuse me?" You didn't care if this was the famous, untouchable, super-whatever Jack the kids told you not to bother - you were not going to deal with his attitude.
He walked closer to you. Now that you see him better, you realize there is frost over his hoodie and on his excessively long cane, which only made him more odd.
"You not only yelled at Sophie but also you pushed your other friend to the lake...and I might know a thing or two of breaking lakes," he murmured.
Sophie laughs. Then Jack laughs.
You crossed your arms. "Did I miss a joke?"
Still laughing softly, Jack replied, "More than one, (Y/n)."
"Should I leave?" Sophie asked Jack, already gathering her stuff next to the door.
"Are you sure you memorized the way, Soph? If you get lost your brother will hang me," Jack said. You notice his voice changed, becoming kinder and tender. Just like a big brother talking to his sister.
She nodded eagerly.
Jack ruffled her already-messy hair and waved her off.
You hear a door close. The Frozen Shack becomes colder somehow.
You swallow hard, thinking how on Earth are you taking this with so much calm. After all you were in the middle of nowhere, with a strange guy...in a bedroom...again in the middle of nowhere.
'Oh my God...I am gonna get raped!' Silly but it was your first thought.
With a deep breath you tired to calm yourself. There wasn't anything to worry about...Right?
Faster than your eyes could record, the boy named Jack was standing in front of you, wearing his deadly stare.
"How did you do it?" he asked. You wondered how can someone go from sweet guy to murderer mode.
"I am sorry but I don't think you are in a position in which you have rights to ask questions," you told him. "I just woke up inside this room with no idea who you are or what is going on! So, how about you answer my questions first?"
He chuckled. "But you are not in position of asking questions, either. Now, I'll ask you one more time: How did you do it?"
You sighed with desperation. "How did I did what?!"
"How were you able to see him?!"
"What now..?" Now you were sure this guy was also crazy.
That only seemed to make him angrier. You saw him lifting off the floor and the wind that you didn't know was inside started to blow. You wanted to run but your feet were somehow stuck to the floor.
"Speak now or perish with the consequences!"
"Umm...why are you floating?" That was all you could manage to say before ice began growing on you. It crept on you until you stop feeling your legs...torso...arms... Now you were all covered in ice except for you face.
Jack now nearly four feet off the ground used his cane to touch your face. "Pity, such a nice face..."
All you could do was stare at him in fear. You had no idea what was going on but one thing was for sure: just one movement and you will be dead.
"Pity, pity, pity..." he said in a low voice. He pulled his cane back but before it hit you the door opened again.
"Pitch Black, back off."
